Breaking news - RecruitmentSuper, a top performer in 2011
RecruitmentSuper’s Growth investment option was ranked fourth in the 2011 calendar year, returning 1.2%, according to Chant West’s independent performance ratings, making it one of the top performers in 2011.
RecruitmentSuper’s Growth option was one of only seven funds to achieve a positive return and strongly outperformed the industry fund average of -0.7% and the retail fund average of -3.1% over the same period.
Fundamental to RecruitmentSuper’s success has been its asset allocation. Relative to its peers RecruitmentSuper has less exposure to certain unlisted assets whilst having a greater hedge against a rise in the Australian dollar through its international equities exposure.
Additionally, RecruitmentSuper’s property asset class and allocation to inflation linked bonds served the fund well during 2011.
Strong manager performances have also been crucial to RecruitmentSuper’s performance particularly in the alternative assets and bonds space.
Over the last three years the fund has implemented significant changes to its investment strategy and approach, from improvements to the investment platform through to introducing a range of online initiatives that make it easier for members to manage their superannuation.
RecruitmentSuper is extremely pleased with the result and the contribution it has made to members’ superannuation and attributes recent successes to a strong focus on delivering the things that matter most to members - performance, low fees and education and support.
