The Trustee is able to alter or increase any of the fees charged to you, other than Government taxes of course. RecruitmentSuper will inform you of any administration fee increases at least 30 days before they are implemented. Investment related fees may change without notice to you.

All changes to fees are listed on this page as soon as they are determined. Changes are also noted in our news section.

Investment-related fees

Investing incurs fees, taxes and charges. These expenses, including investment managers' fees, are deducted from the assets held on behalf of RecruitmentSuper before investment returns and unit prices are finalised by each Investment Manager and before investment earnings are declared by the Trustee for each Investment Option.

Consequently the expenses are reflected in each Investment Option's asset values and in the investment returns credited to members' balances and are indirectly paid by members.

The investment-related fees charged are based on the amount you have invested in each investment option.

The following are the fees charged by the investment managers for the year to 30 June 2008.  The fees for the Balanced Growth, High Growth and Aggressive Growth options and the Trustee Portfolio include a performance-based fee.

Option Rate
Cash 0.15% p.a.
Conservative Growth 0.49% p.a.
Balanced Growth 0.72% p.a
High Growth 0.76% p.a
Aggressive Growth 0.80% p.a.

Trustee Portfolio 0.72% p.a.

Performance-based fees may be charged when investment performance exceeds set benchmarks

Investment-related fees may change as new investment managers are introduced or if investment managers change the fees they charge the fund.

Member Benefit Protection

Account balances under $1,000 are protected by the government's Member Benefit Protection rules. This means that generally administration fees cannot exceed the amount of interest which would otherwise be paid to your account. This protection applies to all administration fees but not to government taxes or insurance premiums.

In periods of low investment returns, it is important to note that a nominal fee of up to $10 per annum may apply.
