EasyChoice
EasyChoice replaced EasySuper on 1 July 2005 and is an even easier super category for members. If you are an EasySuper member, you can transfer to EasyChoice by calling our Customer Service centre.
- EasyChoice is easy to join and easy to understand
- EasyChoice is for temporary, casual and contract employees
How it works
- Employer contributions are paid into an account for each member
- Contribution tax and administration fees are deducted and then interest is calculated
- Your first contribution will automatically set up an EasyChoice account in your name
- Low cost insurance is automatically provided to eligible new members
- Members receive an annual statement to 30 June
Shortly after joining EasyChoice, you will receive a welcome pack including a Product Disclosure Statement containing pertinent information about RecruitmentSuper.
Low Fees
- Account keeping fee of $1.50 per week
- No Contribution fees
- Withdrawal fee of $35
- Investment related fees and expense recovery fee are detailed in the PDS and in the fees section
Co-Contributions
EasyChoice members may be eligible for the Government Co-Contribution Scheme by making additional Member Voluntary Contributions.
Portability
RecruitmentSuper is designed to follow you when you change jobs. If you leave your recruitment employer, you can ask your new employer (from any industry) to take over contributing to your RecruitmentSuper account. Your new employer will need to sign an agreement with the Trustee to contribute on your behalf.
Investment Strategy
Investment Option, EasyChoice
There is no investment choice in EasyChoice. However, you can consider changing your membership to SelectSuper to have a choice of investment options and strategies. For more information, download the SelectSuper Product Disclosure Statement or call 1300 304 000 to speak to a customer service representative.
AutoCover Insurance
RecruitmentSuper provides eligible new EasyChoice members with AutoCover - automatic access to low cost insurance cover.
AutoCover only costs $1 a week and premiums are deducted automatically from your EasyChoice account for each month. Your insurance cover is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - not just when you are at work. AutoCover is optional and you can opt out at any time by telling us in writing.
Full details of AutoCover are included in our insurance section of this site.
Please be aware that there is no income protection insurance available in EasyChoice. If you would like income protection insurance, you could consider applying for a change of product category, to SelectSuper.
