Unit prices

What are unit prices?

When your contributions are assigned to one of our investment options, it joins a pool of funds that is invested according to the option's outlined strategy. To keep track of the value of each person's share of the pool, the total value of the assets in the pool in divided into units, and we periodically quote a unit price that represents the value of each unit. The unit price is used to determine the number of units allocated on entry, and the value of those units on exit.

Your specific investment return will be reflected on the investment option(s) you have decided upon, the timing of your investment in the investment option(s) and the movement in unit prices for your particular investment option(s). If investment returns for a period are positive, the unit prices will increase and if returns are negative, the unit prices will decrease.

How do I calculate my investment return?

You can calculate the current value of your investment at any time by multiplying the number of units you hold in each investment options by the latest published unit price(s).

Unit prices are generally declared on a weekly basis and as at 30 June of each year. If there is a discrepancy between the unit prices listed on this website and what is on our administration system, the figure(s) on the administration system will apply.

How will I know how many units I have?

For reporting purposes, your annual member statement will include the number of units you hold in each investment option and the dollar value of your superannuation account.
